Zzession #11
Humboldthain Club, Hochstraße 46, 13357 Berlin
An every-other-month series of improvised music evenings – starting point is electronic with a tendency to involve acoustic instruments and cross different genres. Today I am tired and making a lot of plans about the future at once, so the topic of the session ‘sleep & dream’ is perfect. The lineup includes René Margraff who performed at one Occulto Night in Spring 2015 – happy to see him live again! And well, you may dare climb up to Wedding for a change.

18 August 2016, 10pm
Ancestral
Hangar 459, Holzmarktstr. 15-18, 10179 Berlin
It’s always the right time for punca – the free-jazz improvisation proto-funk, vocal dadaism primordial voodoo-rock glitch electronica explosive and unique style invented by our friends of Jealousy Party. Add an electronic set by Agata’s Eyelashes (Wale Café, anybody?), a performative djset by JD Zazie, more music and visuals, and one of the few Berlin venues where neighbours are not a problem = dance!

GRAND JETÉ w/ Acid Maria, T.B. Arthur and Phuong-Dan
Ohm, Köpenicker Str. 70, 10179 Berlin
And in case you’re fit enough to dance more after the punca, it will take only a few minutes to walk to Ohm for the Grand Jeté night – offering once more a special selection of contaminated club music where techno meet psychedelia, post-punk, old school disco grooves, experimentation and more. As usual with an eye on cool ladies, such as Acid Maria – a precious statement in a world where lineups are still way too masculine most of the time.

Tristan – Berlin bares teeth
Invalidenstr. 43, 10115 Berlin
The diva among dinosaurs is of course t-rex, and the most complete skeleton of a t-rex ever discovered (170 bones out of 300) is black, beautiful and on display at Berlin Naturkundenmuseum. Accompanied by videos where hologram-like palaeontologists tell you a bit more about it. Tristan Otto is object of an ongoing research whose results will be gradually integrated in the exhibition.
